Modern Renaissance Palette Review

This palette from Anastasia Beverley Hills has been hyped about and sold out all over the place. After adding himself to the waiting list on about 5 different websites, Matt managed to snag one from Cult Beauty for my Christmas present. I was stoked!

Wrapped is a gorgeous pink velvet casing, it houses 14 shades in two halves, nudes and berries. The shadows are also a mix of matte and shimmery giving you endless options.

The beauty of such a hyped product is that the instagrammers (me included @ginasteph) and the youtubers have come up with loads of looks and tutorials that you can use for inspo.

This palette is so much fun to work with. The colours blend so perfectly and they are super buildable. I love that you can achieve a pretty day look or a super dramatic evening look. You can create something really beautiful with 5 minutes and two or three shades which is amazing. The colour, Red Ochre is so gorgeous with a dark smokey eye to warm it up and make eye colours pop.

As a whole I adore this product. The only challenge with the palette is that if you pick up the colour with a soft brush you may end up wasting a tiny bit.

It is an expensive product at just over ¬£40, but it will last for a long time and with all the tutorials it’ll work for new trends and old. It’s great to be able to grab one palette and go, safe in the knowledge you can create a look for any occasion.
